Booklet Printing Guideline

When creating a custom booklet, a few technical details can make all the difference in the final result: Booklets must have a total page count that’s a multiple of 4 (e.g., 8, 12, 16, 20, etc.). This is because each folded sheet forms four pages once bound. If your content doesn’t fit perfectly, blank pages will be added to make up the total. Choosing the right paper stock is essential for both feel and function. We typically recommend a heavier cardstock for the cover (250–300gsm) and lighter paper for the inside pages (100–170gsm). You can also choose from gloss, matte, uncoated, or eco-friendly recycled finishes depending on your brand style and budget. For professional results, all artwork files should include a 3mm (0.125″) bleed on all sides. Keep important text and design elements at least 10–15mm (0.4–0.6″) inside the trim edge. For booklets with thicker spines, leave a wider inner margin (15–20mm) so nothing gets lost in the fold.
